Cerebot ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Cerebot mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information You Provide
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address (required for account creation and communication)
- Password (stored securely using industry-standard encryption)
- Display name (optional, if provided)
- Profile information (optional, if you choose to customize your profile)
1.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:
- Device information (device type, operating system version)
- App usage data (features used, time spent in app, crash reports)
- Search queries (character searches, team compositions you look up)
- Favorites and saved teams (stored to improve your experience)
1.3 Payment Information
When you purchase a subscription:
- Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors (Stripe, Google Play, Apple App Store)
- We do NOT store your credit card information
- We receive only transaction confirmation and subscription status from payment processors
1.4 Advertising Data
If you use the free version with ads:
- Advertising ID (used by Google AdMob to serve personalized ads)
- Ad interaction data (clicks, views)
1.5 Screen Capture Data (Optional, User-Initiated)
The Cerebot HUD overlay (Android only, premium feature) includes an optional screenshot button. When you tap this button:
- Your device screen is captured at that moment using Android's MediaProjection system API
- The screenshot is immediately uploaded to Cerebot's servers and forwarded to a private Discord channel for manual review by the Cerebot team
- The screenshot may contain anything visible on your screen at the time of capture (e.g., game content, notifications)
- Screenshots are used solely to improve the counter database (win/loss analysis)
- We do not store screenshots beyond the Discord channel; they are reviewed manually and then discarded
- This feature is entirely opt-in: the app displays the Android system consent dialog ("Allow Cerebot to capture your screen?") before the first capture — no screenshots are taken without your explicit approval
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for:
- Providing and maintaining the App's features
- Personalizing your experience (e.g., roster imports, favorites)
- Processing subscription payments and renewals
- Sending important notifications (account-related, subscription changes)
- Improving App performance and fixing bugs
- Analyzing usage patterns to enhance features
- Displaying relevant advertisements (free tier only)
- Complying with legal obligations
3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
We share your data with the following trusted third-party services:
- Supabase - Authentication, database hosting, and backend services (Privacy Policy)
- RevenueCat - Subscription management for iOS and Android (Privacy Policy)
- Stripe - Payment processing for web subscriptions (Privacy Policy)
- Google AdMob - Advertisement delivery on mobile (Privacy Policy)
- Google AdSense - Advertisement delivery on web (Privacy Policy)
We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- End-to-end encryption for passwords
- Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission
- Regular security audits and updates
- Restricted access to personal data (only authorized personnel)
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion:
- Personal information (email, profile) is permanently deleted within 30 days
- Usage data may be retained in anonymized form for analytics
- Legal and financial records (subscription history) are retained as required by law

- Access - Request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification - Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion - Request deletion of your account and data
